FOX Studios Internship and Scholarship Winners Post Their Experiences Online
Tuesday, July 17th, 2007As you remember, several weeks ago the Central Council, in a partnership with Fox Studios Indian Summer Institute, offered two internships and two $1,000 scholarships to Tribal youth. In a toughest competition that we have witnessed in this program to date (due to a large number of high-quality applications), we ended up selecting Markel Wallace from Saxman and Alexandria Strong from Haines as our interns and scholarship winners.
Today we received a very kind email from Winona Wallace, Markel’s mother. News like this makes us feel proud of what we do here at the Central Council. We would like to share this email with you. Also, there are some links to the Fox Studio’s Indian Summer Institute where you will be able to follow the adventures of our two interns and scholarship winners.

Saturday, June 30th, 2007Candidates were rated on the completeness of their applications and demonstrated talent in the Arts. Unfortunately, we had to pick only two young people. The selection was based on the individuals we thought would benefit most from this opportunity.
