Tax Assistance:
Teams of IRS-certified volunteers travel to Southeast Alaska communities each tax season from January to April. Tax returns are filed electronically to ensure quick processing and refunds. If you missed the outreach team, you can file your taxes using the taxes-by-mail service. Travel schedule is announced every December. Please contact ABDC or your local Tribe or Municipality for travel schedule updates. Tax preparation is free. In most cases, volunteers are able to prepare tax returns for prior years - usually up to two years back.
