The purpose of the ADEC Research
& Analysis Section is to provide research, analysis, and general
technical support for the Department's operations. The Community
Data Base Online, the Economic Development Resource Guide, the Rural
Alaska Project Identification and Delivery System, RAPIDS (community
project database), and the
Alaska Economic Information System can be accessed from this site. The RAPIDS Database contains descriptions, funding levels and status
for over 8,000 capital projects in all Alaska communities.

From there data seekers can access wage, population, economic trend and unemployment
rate information off the Quick Link menu. Alternatively, data seekers
can directly access updated workforce, employment/unemployment and industry

Economic Information System
The Alaska Economic Information System is a joint project of the Alaska Department
of Community and Economic Development and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic
Development Administration. AEIS provides detailed income, employment and other
economic data by census area. US Census information on census areas can be accessed
off this site at http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/dca/AEIS/AEIS_Home.htm.
The site also links to relevant Alaska Department of Labor data.
Cost
of Living Wizard
Salary.com has a cost of living wizard that does a cost of living comparison
for relocation, in addition to providing salary/wage comparisons. That information

Denali Commission
Created by Congress in 1998, the Denali Commission is an innovative federal-state
partnership designed to provide critical utilities, infrastructure and economic
support throughout Alaska with a special focus on remote communities. The Denali
Commission has a wealth of community and project information that can be accessed

Economic Indicators.gov is brought to you by the Economics and Statistics Administration
at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Its mission is to provide timely access
to the daily releases of key economic indicators from the Bureau of Economic

of Commerce
The POW Chamber is a nonprofit (501 (c) 6) organization dedicated to wise use
and development of resources, and providing the public with information about
