- Payment in Lieu of Taxes, PILT, at http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/dca/LOGON/srs/srs-pilt.htm for information on payments to local governments to help offset losses in property taxes due to nontaxable federal lands within their boundaries.
- Product Preference Program at http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/dca/prodpref/prodpref.htm for information on incentives and encouragement for Alaska businesses when responding to bids and/or proposals for state contracts, by giving those businesses preference consideration.

Alaska Regional
Development Organizations, ARDOR
Information on ARDORs can be accessed at
http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/dca/ardor/ardor.htm. Through the program,
local organizations (ARDORs) can partner with the State to advance local initiatives
that stimulate economic development and produce healthy, sustainable local economies.
ARDORs: enable communities to pool their limited resources, and work together
on economic development issues; develop partnerships among public, private and
other organizations; offer a technical, nonpartisan capacity to develop and
implement an economic development strategy; often have extensive experience with
federal/State programs; and provide needed technical assistance via direct links
with local citizens.
Alaska State Council on the
Arts
The Alaska State Council on the Arts exists to enhance cultural development
in the state by ensuring that art of the highest quality is accessible to all
Alaskans.
